Burgers & Beer started with a simple vision: to provide the residents of the Imperial Valley with a comfortable and casual spot where family and friends could gather, enjoy a high-quality, great-tasting burger, and wash it down with a refreshing, ice-cold beer — all at a price that felt accessible to everyone. ​In 1985, that vision became a reality when Owner and Founder Kurt Honold opened the doors to the very first Burgers & Beer in Calexico, California. From day one, the restaurant stood out not only for its handcrafted burgers and wide variety of beers, but also for the warm, welcoming environment that encouraged community connection. Over the years, Burgers & Beer has grown beyond its humble beginnings to become a well-loved destination throughout Southern California and Arizona.
